Counselor

Responsible for cabin of campers (usually 6-8 per week). Most often paired with a cabin group of the opposite gender. Experience the whole day with campers; swimming, hiking, crafts, recreation, worship, nature studies, cookouts, sleepouts, cabin life. Applicants should enjoy these type of activities, have a love for (and patience with) children, and possess a desire to share God’s word. Other assets: creative, easy-going, attentive, and enthusiastic. Must be at least eighteen years old, a high school graduate or college student.

Nawakwa Craft Director

Looking for Summer Craft Director for Camp Nawakwa: * Must be 21 years or older, as this is a supervisor/leadership position. * Excellent opportunity for Art education students looking to build their resume. * The Craft’s Director would plan and lead crafts for a variety of age groups throughout the summer. In addition, they are responsible for the supervision of two craft staff as well as campers in the crafts hall.

Crafts Staff

Led by crafts hall director, this staff is responsible for planning & providing afternoon crafts programs for the whole camp (sessions divided by age). Also lead various morning elective classes and participate in evening and other camp activities as needed. Applicants should have a love for children, a desire to share God’s word, an interest in crafts, and a willing easy-going nature.

Nawakwa Summer Assistant Cook

Looking for Summer Assistant Cook: Must be 21 years or older, as this is a supervisor/leadership position. Excellent opportunity for culinary students looking to build their resume or for local school food service employees looking for consistent income through the summer months. Kitchen Staff

Work with trained, experienced cook to provide healthy, tasty meals for campers and staff. Also participate in other camp activities as available and directed. Applicants should be flexible team players and possess a desire to share God’s word. Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not necessary.

Maintenance Staff

Work with site manager to keep the camp safe, clean, and in repair. Participate in other camp activities as directed and available. Applicants should have a desire to share God’s word and a willingness to work together. Prior outdoor work experience and/ or carpentry skills are helpful but not necessary.

Lifeguards

Responsible for the swimming safety of campers and staff as well as the proper sanitation of the pool. Participate in other camp activities as directed and available. Applicants should have their Basic Lifeguarding Certificate (valid through summer), a desire to share God’s word, and plenty of sunblock.
