Explorers – Grades K-2

Day Camp – Grades K-2
A perfect introduction for a first- time or tentative camper who get to experience camp activities by day and time with family at night. Days run from 9am – 4pm. There will be an optional sleepout night!

A (nearly) full week of fun crammed into three days! Enrollment is limited to ensure low camper:staff ratios.

Explorers Classic – Grades 1-2
Join us for classic camp where days are filled with action, adventures, crafts, pools, stream studies, hikes, and so much fun in this first opportunity for a full week of sleepaway camp.

Explore the forest and meadows of Nawakwa, learning about plants and critters through games, puzzles, and adventures!

Junior Classic
Every week is fresh and different as campers engage in the “classic” activities: creek hikes, GaGa, the low rope challenge course, sleep outs, s’mores, and more!

Arts, Crafts & Paper
Come get your hands dirty with craft supplies and paper at arts & crafts camp! Explore God’s work and camp through the crafting with God’s creation! Learn how to make your own paper, printing, stamping, and more! This is a perfect program for kids who love camp AND crafts.

Beginner Guitar & Music
Learn how to play the guitar and other musical instruments (or practice your mad skills) and be featured in closing worship.

Holy Smoke!
Enjoy an explosive week of hands-on science – a little chemistry, a little physics, and a lot of fun.

Horseback Riding & Horse Care
In cooperation with Wilson College, campers will have 3 days filled with instructional rides, and horse care (brushing, feeding, etc.).

It’s Magic (Camp)
Learn about all sorts of magic during your week at camp! From the magic of God’s creation to card tricks! Campers will have daily lessons with an accomplished close-up magician, Kyle Purnell, and will create a Magic Message for Friday’s Worship Service.

Team Sports
A high-energy camp with an emphasis on teamwork and fair play. Traditional games like basketball, hockey, and lacrosse are interspersed with some quirky Nawakwa fun like T200 and Human Curling.

Wild Things
Learn outdoor living skills, sleep in our treehouse and Adirondacks, practice campfire cooking, learn animal track identification and find all sorts of critters throughout camp.  Stay up late for nighttime activities like owling, stargazing, and trying out your night vision.

Intermediates – Grades 6-9

Intermediate Classic
With program progression, intermediate campers get to participate in all of their favorite camp activities while adding in the excitement and challenge of the high ropes course, sleep outs at the Hammock Hideaway or Stella, and off-site trips like the hike at Pole Steeple.

Adventure Camp
Bring your hiking shoes and your water bottle to adventure away! Campers will set forth on adventures through trips like hiking, canoeing, camping, biking, and much more during their week!

Arts, Crafts & Paper
Let your creative side run wild! Create original & unique projects using clay, wood and other natural materials. Learn how to make your own crafts like clay and paper with nature! Projects might include pottery, woodcraft, drawing, painting, jewelry making and more…

Camp Musical
Tell a biblical story through a camp musical! Campers, staff, and volunteers work together to present a musical theatre production for closing worship.

Team Sports
Get ready to take on some Rail Trail biking & climbing adventures! Challenge yourself on Nawakwa’s high ropes course and zip line before taking on an out of camp climb! Build your stamina with multiple bike trips throughout the week, too! Expect overnight out of camp trips.

Ten Day Camp
Simply put, if you LOVE camp, this is the program for you. Ten Day campers have time for all of the fun of camp and more – including having the camp to themselves over the weekend! You’ll participate in all the camp activities like pool, crafts, gaga, and more. And you could get to lead a campfire or worship for the next week of campers! There will also be opportunities for service work during your 10-days!

Senior High – Grades 9-11

Year after year, Nawakwa remains the same while always offering something new – a closely-knit community of old and new friends, outdoor adventures, disc golf, high ropes, service projects, leadership opportunities, great conversations, and a week at the Camp in the Woods.

Servant Works NEW
Make a difference and have a blast doing it! Campers will dive into all the fun of Nawakwa—campfires, games, friends, and faith—while also discovering the joy of helping others. You’ll take part in hands-on service projects both around camp and out in the local community, partnering with organizations that are making a real impact. See how God is at work through you and the world around you! Plus, you’ll earn a 20-hour service certificate—perfect for school, National Honor Society, or your future résumé. Serve, grow, and make memories that matter!
