The camp week will end on Friday at 6:30.
Lutheran Church Camping in Central Pennsylvania is an extension of the congregation’s ministry in the unique setting that our camps provide. Children, youth, and adults learn, worship, witness, and serve within a Christ-centered Lutheran tradition.
All Children are welcome to attend Camps Kirchenwald and Nawakwa, regardless of race, creed, religion or color.
Children with special needs can participate in many of our programs. Camp staff need to know the nature of the child’s special needs before arrival in camp. Please contact the camp of your choice for further information.
Discounts
Full Payment Discount: Deduct $15 when you include full payment with registration before April 6.
CampPerson Discount: If your congregation was represented at one of the 2024 CampPerson meetings, each camper from your congregation (excluding Day Campers) receives a $20 discount. Call your congregation or the Camping Office to find out if you are eligible.
Additional Children/Weeks: Second child in family (or same child attending more than one week) receives a $25 discount; third child/week – $50. This discount applies to campers attending full-week, resident programs.
Invite-a-Friend Discount: Bring a friend that has never been to any Kirchenwald or Nawakwa summer camp and both you and your friend save $25 each OR receive a free additional week of camp (up to $515). Visit the Camping Website for the Invite-a-Friend Coupon to send with your registration and more information. Invite-a-Friend does not apply to immediate family members.
Campership Applications are available for those whose families cannot afford the full camp fee. Campership applications may be obtained by contacting the Camping Office or on the website. Send in the Campership Application with your registration.
Camp Week: Each camp week begins Sunday with check-in between the hours of 3:00 and 4:30pm. Early check-in is not possible. Parents/Guardians may pick up their children on Friday evening between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
- Day Camps run from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. (Friday pick-up between 6:30-7:00pm)
- Mini Camp weeks start at 3:00pm (Sunday or Wednesday) . Parents/Guardians may pick up their children between 6:30-7:00pm (Tuesday or Friday)
- Ten Day Camp ends on Wednesday morning. Pickup is between 9:00-9:30am.
Age Groups are based on grade completed (or will complete) in Spring 2024. Groups are:
- Explorers (completed grades K – 2)
- Juniors (completed grades 3 – 6)
- Intermediates (completed grades 6 – 9)
- Senior Highs (completed grades 9 – 11)
